Superstar’s 3-year-old son dies two weeks after tragic river accident

Levi Wright, the young son of rodeo star Spencer Wright, has tragically passed away.

The three-year-old succumbed to a traumatic brain injury sustained from a near-drowning incident on May 21.

Levi was driving a tractor toy and fell into a river. He was rushed to the Salt Lake City hospital where he was hospitalized. Local law enforcement located Levi unconscious around a mile downstream.

Levi was initially declared brain dead and was not expected to survive, but he still showed signs of improvement.

“LEVI WOKE UP! I am shook, we don’t know much but the doctor said it was okay for me to get excited about that and I AM! My baby is so tough!” his mother Kallie Wright posted on Facebook.

Unfortunately, the MRI results from the following day brought disappointing news.

“We’re devastated, but these are just images that indicate a possible outcome. The true test will be how Levi responds in the coming days,” Kallie shared.

Despite the uncertainty, his fight continued as family and friends held onto hope and prayed for his recovery.

Tragically, the family was faced with an impossible decision.

“After countless sleepless nights, extensive research, discussions with the world’s top neurologists, and millions of prayers, we now stand before our greatest fear,” she wrote. “Levi gave us just enough signs to hold on—to hope that he was defying the odds and choosing to stay. But now we understand that he was giving us time to find peace in letting him go.”

After a series of scans, tests, and consultations with medical experts, the family made the heartbreaking choice to remove Levi from life support. son

The heartbreaking news of Levi’s passing was confirmed by family friend Mindy Sue Clark.

“I can’t even begin to describe how difficult these past two weeks have been. From the moment I got that late-night call about his accident to the message last night telling me he was gone—it’s been unbearable. It feels like my heart has been ripped out and crushed right in front of me. But instead of focusing on the pain, I want to remember the incredible miracles we witnessed during those 12 days. son

“The most perfect three-year-old there ever was—so perfect that we didn’t get to keep him. In his short time, Levi moved mountains, bringing so many people together. In a world filled with darkness, he was our light. He was everything his mom and dad could have ever wished for.”

Our hearts go out to Levi’s family and all who loved him. May he rest in peace.
