Shakira was recently rushed to hospital, leading to the cancellation of one of her concerts.
The ‘Hips Don’t Lie’ singer was scheduled to perform in Lima, the capital of Peru, as part of her world tour.
Yet it’s now been confirmed through Instagram that unfortunately, Shakira will not be able to perform.
Many fans have taken to social media to express their well wishes.
One fan writes: “We love you and take all the time you need to get healthy again.”
Another message reads: “Get well soon my queen.”
“Please take care of yourself and get well soon. Our prayers are with you,” a third says.

Just weeks before this update, Shakira had a memorable moment at the Grammy Awards, where she took home the award for Best Latin Pop Album for Las Mujeres Ya No Lloran.
In an emotional acceptance speech, she dedicated the win to “all my immigrant brothers and sisters in this country,” as reported by Radio Times.
“You’re loved, you’re worth it, and I will always fight with you,” she continued. “To all the women who work tirelessly every day to support their families, you are the true she-wolves.”
Prior to her hospitalization, Shakira shared videos on social media showcasing the warm reception she received upon arriving in Peru.
The overwhelming excitement surrounding her visit made the cancellation all the more disappointing for both the Whenever, Wherever singer and her devoted fans.

Shakira’s career has been filled with remarkable success, but she has also encountered significant challenges in recent years.
In 2023, she resolved a tax fraud case with Spanish authorities by paying a €7.5 million (£6.5 million) fine, according to the BBC.
Reflecting on the ordeal, she admitted it had drained her of “energy, time, and tranquillity.”
Now, the She Wolf singer has revealed another concerning setback, informing fans that she has been hospitalized due to an abdominal issue.

In a February 16 Instagram statement, Shakira shared an unexpected health update with her fans.
“I am sorry to inform you all that last night I had to go to the ER for an abdominal issue and am currently hospitalized,” she wrote.
She explained that her medical team advised against performing, as she wasn’t in the right condition to take the stage.
“I am very sad not to be able to perform today. I’ve been looking forward to reuniting with my incredible fans here in Peru,” she continued.
Despite the setback, Shakira remained optimistic, expressing hope that she would be “released and well tomorrow.”
She also reassured fans that her team was already working on rescheduling the concert.
“Thank you all for understanding, I love you all,” she concluded.
Shakira’s Latin American tour has taken her to major cities like Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo in Brazil, with upcoming stops in Colombia, Chile, Argentina, and Mexico.
The tour, which runs until the end of June, celebrates her latest album and marks her return to the global stage.
