Chloe Bailey was devastated when she learned she’d accidentally eaten meat for the first time in 10 years.
Bailey is an American actress and singer who shot to fame alongside her sister Halle Bailey as the duo Chloe x Halle.
Together, the siblings have released two studio albums, with the latter, ‘Ungodly Hour,’ receiving widespread acclaim.
Over the years, Bailey and her sister have been outspoken about their dietary choices.

The two follow a vegan lifestyle, avoiding all animal products.
However, Bailey was horrified to discover she had unintentionally broken her commitment when a hotel mistakenly served her the wrong order.
After she shared the incident, people flooded the comments with support.
One user wrote, “Seven-plus years here. I completely understand this. It’s happened to me too. I’m so skeptical about where I buy my food.”
Another added, “I’m vegan, and just the thought of it makes me sick.”
Expressing frustration, a third commented, “If I dedicated 10 years to something and someone’s mistake ruined it, I’d be p***ed…”
“That is not cool,” another person wrote. “I haven’t eaten pork in 20 years and recently gave up meat altogether—I would have instantly been sick.”

In an Instagram livestream, Chloe revealed her avoidance of meat was broken when she went to see Beyoncé perform in Atlanta, Georgia, per The Independent.
She began: “So I called to get a Beyond burger for sis and I like usual. Specified that it’s vegan, no butter on the bun, nothing like that.”
Beyond Meat is a brand of plant-based, meat alternatives designed to look, taste, and cook like meat.
The ‘Have Mercy’ singer said she was in the shower when the burger arrived and when she returned to the bedroom, her younger sister immediately questioned her about the meal.
“She’s eating the burger and she’s like, ‘Are you sure this is Beyond?’ She took a couple of bites and she said, ‘This is really good, you sure it’s Beyond?’” Chloe said.
“I touched the patty and smelled it and was like, ‘Of course, it’s Beyond, yeah.’”
However, the pop star quickly realized she was mistaken.

Chloe continued: “So I finish getting dressed, take a bite, and immediately notice something’s off. The juice dripping from the burger isn’t like a Beyond burger—I just knew it wasn’t plant-based.
“The moment I took that bite, I could tell. Right away, I said, ‘This doesn’t feel right.’”
Shocked, she called the hotel’s front desk for clarification.
“I asked, ‘These are vegan burgers, right?’ And the guy goes, ‘No, they’re brand burgers.’ I said, ‘Brand burgers? I specifically asked for Beyond burgers.’ I don’t even know what a brand burger is,” Chloe recalled.
Realizing she had unknowingly eaten meat, Chloe was understandably upset.
She told her followers, “Halle was laughing at me while I was crying—this was right before our concert yesterday. I’m freaking out, and she’s just cracking up.”
Months after the burger incident, Chloe took to TikTok and admitted that she had started eating chicken, 11 years after beginning her vegan diet.
Letting out a deep sigh, she began: “My confession is that recently I have begun consuming chicken.”
“And let me tell you something, yes, after 11 years – I’m dead a** serious. I’m not joking. After 11 years of being vegan, I consume chicken now.”
The ‘Do It’ singer clarified that she does not consume any other dairy products.
Chloe told fans: “And it’s like, I am still allergic to egg whites and I don’t consume dairy and honestly it’s been really good.
“I don’t eat anything else, but I’ve just been dabbling with some chicken.”

She continued: “And you know, the first time I ate it, my stomach cramped maybe a little bit. After that, I was fine.
“I just can’t eat fried chicken with egg wash, because I’m allergic to eggs. But what I have noticed is that my body has been getting more toned. And I haven’t even been working out crazy like I usually do and I feel like it’s just been toning me.”
Joking that she would be caught ‘sooner or later,’ Chloe concluded: “So I mean, I knew sooner or later maybe there’d be a picture of me with a chicken wing in my mouth.”
