Bailey Hutchins has tragically died aged 26.
The influencer, who was also a registered nurse, garnered a following of over 170,000 on TikTok as she shared an insight into her life, including her health struggles.
Hutchins had a big impact on her audience and, after the devastating news of her passing, tributes are pouring in.
“Rest in peace, angel,” one person shares.
Another fan expresses their sorrow: “This is absolutely heartbreaking. I’m so, so sorry.”
Someone else writes, “My deepest condolences to you and your family. Bailey was truly an inspiration. Thank you for sharing her with us. Sending prayers from my family to yours.”
A fourth commenter adds, “I think we’re all in tears, heartbroken for you. The pain must be unimaginable, and I’m truly sorry for all you’ve endured. Sending love—Bailey was a beautiful soul, inside and out.”
Hutchins’ husband, Caden, announced her passing on her TikTok page.
In his heartbreaking caption, he wrote: “Last night our Bailey B passed on to heaven. Although we selfishly wanted her here forever we are at peace knowing that she is no longer has to endure pain or suffering.”
Caden went on to describe her spirit as being ‘radiant as the sun,’ adding: “Bailey is such a light and we plan on continuing to let it shine in.”
The video announcing the heartbreaking news has garnered over 9.2 million views at the time of writing.
Hutchins grew her following by sharing her journey with cancer.
She was diagnosed with stage 4 colon cancer with peritoneal metastasis (when cancer spreads to the peritoneum, the tissue lining the abdominal cavity, as per the National University Cancer Institute) in 2023, aged just 24.
She used her TikTok account, @healingwithbailey, to document her experience and raise awareness of the disease.
Hutchins also educated her followers on the early signs of cancer and the importance of getting checked.
After battling the devastating disease for two years, Hutchins sadly passed away earlier this month.
Her sister, Ashley, took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute:
“As of 2/7 at 10:30 PM, after a two-year battle with a devastating illness, my beautiful sister gained her angel wings. Nothing can truly prepare you for a loss like this.”
Struggling to find the right words, she continued, “The sadness and heartbreak are beyond anything I can express. You’re supposed to grow old with your siblings, to lose loved ones in the natural order of life.
“But last night, we lost a sister, my parents lost their baby girl, her husband lost his soulmate, and so many lost a dear friend. She was my best friend, and I feel incredibly blessed to have shared such a special sisterly bond with her.”
Ashley also reflected on the profound impact her sister had: “She touched the lives of over 200,000 people by sharing her journey—her struggles, her triumphs, and everything in between. She changed lives. She saved lives.”
Hutchins is survived by her husband, Caden, her sister Ashley, and their parents.
