A rumor regarding Amber Heard and Jason Momoa has been confirmed.
Heard, 38, and Momoa, 45, starred alongside each other in DC’s Aquaman and its sequel, Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom.
In the latter, the actress’ screen time was considerably shorter than in the original and now, she’s seemingly stepped away from the limelight.
Building up to the release of the second Aquaman movie, there were many rumors and discussions about Heard and Momoa’s relationship.
Shedding further light on the matter, a film executive has revealed all…

In recent years, Heard has largely stayed out of the spotlight, with reports suggesting she has stepped away from Hollywood.
According to a People magazine source, the actress is now focused on raising her daughter, Oonagh, who was born in 2021.
“She spends every day with her little girl,” the source shared. “They go for walks, visit parks, and enjoy quality family time. Amber is a wonderful mom.”

This follows Heard’s high-profile legal battle with her ex-husband, Pirates of the Caribbean star Johnny Depp, who won his defamation lawsuit against her in 2022.
Depp had sued Heard for damages over a 2018 Washington Post op-ed in which she discussed domestic violence.

The Edward Scissorhands star’s lawyers argued that although he wasn’t named in the op-ed, it indirectly referenced the previous allegations Heard had made against him.
During the trial, both sides presented startling accusations.

The actress testified that Warner Bros. drastically reduced her role in the Aquaman sequel during her legal battle with Depp.
Heard claimed she had to “fight really hard to stay in the movie” and that in newer versions of the script, many of her scenes were “taken away,” as reported by MailOnline.
She said, “They basically cut a lot out of my role. They just removed so much.”
However, in Depp’s rebuttal argument, another reason was presented for Heard’s reduced screen time.

In a video deposition, Aquaman executive producer Walter Hamada stated that Heard’s role was never reduced and had always been intended to be secondary.
He acknowledged that there were discussions about potentially recasting the role of Mera, but explained this was due to chemistry issues between Heard and Jason Momoa.
“They didn’t really have a lot of chemistry together,” Hamada said (according to The Independent). “It’s not uncommon in movies for two leads to lack chemistry.”
He also mentioned that it took “a lot of effort” to make it appear as though the stars had chemistry.

Filmmaker James Wan also addressed the issue with Entertainment Weekly, stating that it was always part of the plan for Heard to have a smaller role in the Aquaman sequel.
He explained, “I always pitched this from the very beginning. The first Aquaman was about Arthur and Mera’s journey.
“The second movie was always going to focus on Arthur and Orm. The first was a romance action-adventure, the second is a bromance action-adventure. Let’s leave it at that.”
While there were discussions about Heard’s role in Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom, the actress did appear in the sequel, though her screen time was minimal.
