Donald Trump has offered an usual incentive to immigrants in America.
It’s not new information that Trump is clamping down on immigration in the US, and just last month, he announced his plans to revoke the legal status of more than 500,000 immigrants.
Humanitarian parole was brought in by the Biden administration and allowed migrants and their immediate family members to fly into the US if they had American sponsors and remain for two years, under a temporary immigration status known as parole.
The scheme was aimed at Cuban, Haitian, Nicaraguan, and Venezuelan citizens wanting to relocate to the States. Their temporary legal status was set to be revoked on April 24, but a judge has since blocked this and ordered that the termination of people’s parole should be interviewed on a case-by-case basis.

Trump Proposes ‘Self-Deportation’ Program with Cash and Flights
Following a recent court ruling, former President Donald Trump is pushing a new initiative aimed at encouraging undocumented immigrants to voluntarily leave the U.S. — offering financial incentives and plane tickets to those willing to participate.
In a taped interview with Fox Noticias that aired Tuesday, Trump, who has long campaigned on promises of mass deportations, said his administration is prioritizing the removal of violent offenders. “We’re focused on getting the murderers out of the country,” he stated.
For other undocumented individuals, he outlined plans for what he called a “self-deportation program.” While details remain sparse — including the timeline or eligibility criteria — Trump said the U.S. would provide airfare and a monetary stipend to those who opt in.
“We’re going to give them a stipend. We’re going to give them some money and a plane ticket,” he said. “And then we’re going to work with them — if they’re good — if we want them back in, we’ll work to get them back in as quickly as possible.”
The proposal has already sparked debate over its feasibility, ethics, and broader immigration implications.

Trump Responds to Clip of Undocumented Immigrant Who Supports Him
During an interview on Fox Noticias, host Rachel Campos-Duffy who is married to Transportation Secretary Sean Duffy shared a video clip of a Mexican man who, she said, entered the U.S. illegally over 20 years ago and is now the father of American-born children.
While it remains unclear whether the man currently has legal status, Campos-Duffy noted that he expressed support for Donald Trump despite being unable to vote. In the clip, the man stated that he believes anyone who commits a crime, himself included, should be deported.
After watching the footage, Trump responded warmly: “I look at this man, I say, this is a guy that we want to keep,” he said. “I’ll probably take heat for saying it.”
